Checker Plate Tread – Type A
Advantage Industries Steel treads are manufactured using high grade checker plate steel. Steel treads can be manufactured to suit your exact needs and requirements. treads can be manufactured with return folds and different, widths and fold lengths. We can plasma cut the tread end plate in house to suit your drawings.
When selecting your tread depth, ensure you have overlap. For example if your staircase has a 250mm going, then choose 265mm deep treads – this ensures you have a 15mm overlap.
Top Treads – you can either choose a Type A tread with a smaller depth (250mm deep) or choose the Type B tread. For our staircase kits with Type A treads, we use Type A -265mm deep treads and 1 x Type B-250mm Deep for the very top tread.
